HELLO, I’M LEXI.
My work is shaped by over ten years of visual storytelling, creative problem-solving, and client collaboration.
My background in documentary photography has shaped the way I approach design. It has taught me to look closely, understand context, and communicate stories with purpose. I design and photograph with clarity, accessibility, and inclusion. I pay attention to how design shapes visibility and understanding while making information easier to access. I am particularly interested in design projects that serve a clear purpose. This includes work that informs, advocates, educates, or connects people to resources. My goal is to create work that is clear, structured, and accessible to more people.
My Process
01. I begin each project by understanding what needs to be communicated and why. Establishing that foundation helps ensure the final work is both effective and meaningful.
02. Throughout the design process, I maintain open communication and encourage feedback. This helps refine ideas, strengthen solutions, and keep projects aligned with their goals.
03. I refine typography, layout, and design details to ensure the work feels clear, cohesive, and intentional.
04. I bring the project to completion by reviewing every detail for consistency, clarity, and function. The goal is to ensure the final work is polished, usable, and ready for real-world application.
05. After each project, I review what worked and carry those insights into future work.
I use WCAG standards and tools like WAVE to review accessibility, structure, and clarity. Focusing on usability, layout, and responsive design.
