In 2020 I began photographing places that were changing or disappearing. During this practice, I found myself confronting larger questions about inequality, loss, and perseverance. When there was little else I could do, I chose to look closer, document what I was seeing, and preserve these stories as a record of what was happening around me. Through documentation, I hope to create a record of what has been lost and encourage a deeper understanding of the communities and experiences behind them. This is an ongoing project.
